This is photographed in the evening of second full moon in March.

Roughly 20~25 minutes after the moon rise, top of Opera House roof appeared to be softly bright, then finally the full moon rose behind the roof.

Someone told me that this was the last blue moon in 2018.  I did not know but if so, I was really lucky to be there to view beautiful moon rise.

This made my submission to this week’s Monochrome Madness by Leanne Cole.

Owning up, I miscounted one week for the theme week, which was today, to next week.  She had provided subject ‘from under’ for the theme of the month, but I submit this full moon image by mistake.  Actually, Leanne kindly checked about the image with me, but I did not have alternative I could quickly prepare to replace, I asked her to go as is hence.

That being so, I still like this image so much so I am happy.  I will just try new theme for next month with no confusion.

Monochrome Madness is the community she opens for other photographers and audiences who love monochrome / black and white photos.  Here gives me a great opportunity and challenges about monochrome images.  As it is open community, everyone can participate.

This looks magnificent Makiko. The sails of the Opera House are so clearly etched against the dark sky.

Aw thank you so much Jane! Actually the moon at the night was incredible, she looked divine with the soft pale light around her! 🙂

Absolutely stunning photos, Makiko. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a beautiful photo of the Opera House. Well done.
