I did not spend time for photography recently (as I mentioned in my earlier post) and it made me a bit stressed.  The best way to release the stress is to take my camera and get out out of house.  So I did it this week that lazy me got up very early in the morning to catch sunrise.

I chose Bondi Beach for photo spot, because (luckily) I had an appointment first in the morning at Bondi Junction, so why not to start my day earlier to capture morning shots before I showed up for the appointment.  Sunrise in winter time is rather late (and that is one reason I like winter season) so it is not hard to get to the photography point, as long as I enough arm myself for wind protection.

When I arrived, the sky was quite clear but clouds laying in lower sky like sash belt, which I did not expect and a bit worried if all the morning climax was happened behind the cloud.  Soon I realized that it was my over concern, that the clouds started making  morning sunlight more dramatic yet turning the world in lovely pastel tone in the background.

I am in the middle of selecting photos of which I will keep out of 80 shots I took in the morning.  Once I tidy them up (and I was lucky to find my favorites in them), I am back here and share about them with you.

Here are first two.  It was chilly but nice morning.  🙂

Thank you Susanne! 🙂 I like being at a beach in early morning. Waves are rougher, clouds draw complex lines but colored in beautiful! 🙂

I like waves, but those look . . . odd. That includes the surfers who seem to be surfing away from the shore. I’ve never seen waves breaking away from the shore.

    Interesting.

I am so glad if I shared something you had not seen with you! I do not know from scientific view, but this famous beach seems be harder than it looks and tourists are often trapped by the ripples, I mean current. Their Life Savors seem be local heroes too 😉 One day please make a visit to down-under!

Great shots Makiko. Taken from near Bondi Icebergs, I think, which is why the waves give the illusion of breaking the wrong way.

Thank you Jane! You are totally correct, that I was at the position from Bondi Iceberg side, which waves are looking wilder! 🙂
