Another patchwork for the birthday card for friend who loves Bleu and Shiraz.
The two are very different in nature and are uniquely beautiful. I used Bleu for the model of the patchwork likely because his moon face was easy to modeling. 🙂
Shiraz (left) and Bleu
The both turned 15 years old this year. I will write about it on another blog.
This was the card i made for my friend’s birthday back in June.
I brought some remaining wrapping papers or origami craft papers I collected, cut or hand cut them into small small pieces, then glued them randomly filling the inside of the heart template.Such a fun experimental work as it got.💕
Kayse and I met in Tucson, Arizona in 2019 for the first time. I visited her and her partner Gary Fleck seven months later in Arkansas, then shared another sweet time in Sedona last month. Gary Fleck is (well, it’s not just me of knowing him so) the legendary crystal mining engineer who does crystal cut, polish, and make jewelries from the design.
Kayse produces number of blended essential oils aiming for healing and/or pleasure, all of which holds high frequency and struck me something when I first scented one of her range, named ‘Dolphin Joy’.
When I took Mermaid Magic on my hand first time and scented it, the world of the oil took me into so-called Kayse’s world, which was fantastic and warm, supporting, being embraced with love. It was literally magic.
The scent was enough to urge me to express how I felt in pastel drawing.
Festive period 2019 was something very unusual for me, because of the months-long bush fires that flamed up in Australia, particularly east coast and south area over the four states.
All graphics and updates cast by the media were of heartbreaking, and the blaze did not set back on New Years Eve and New Years Day.
Temperature on Saturday and Sunday last week soared to record-breaking high, which coincidentally some source was saying, apart from the subject of bush fires, that the earth took the closest position to the sun in her orbit.
This piece below was drawn while watching the circumstances, with the inspiration driven by my sincere wish of rainfalls and / or something good of element of aqua, embrace all of the burned areas and heal them. Yep, the motif is completely unrelated to the subject, but this is how I could send my love over.
Belated post for Christmas as it’s gone for the year, but I would still like to express my sincere thanks to all of your support and connections you have been with me on here.
Wish you all have a safe and pleasant holiday.
Here is my recent work for Seasonal greeting cards.
Christmas flower is lovely to see and draw. I think I will draw it again for next Christmas (and I hope I will draw it lovelier).
Oh again, I do not remember when I did this kind of drawing work last time.
This went for a friend’s birthday.
And the grid I introduced here drove me my drawing finger as it gets (yes, my pastel works are drawn by fingers most of part), actually it went OK to express my love to him.
