Sails and top of the bridge

Photographing tourist (or popular) spot and/or architectures become a challenge for me to do sometimes because in most of times I would like to capture them without humans (or have them but in minimal like silhouette).

It was a good sunny weekend when this was taken and there were many people out for enjoying their leisure walking and sun-bathing.

I did not have my tripod with me and there was no ideal solid spot to set my camera fixing for doing long exposure, so I gave up making people disappeared from my image.  Instead I changed idea trying to make these people a part of the landscape.  I took some shots in changing a bit angles and timing to see how people passing in front of me came into the frame.

I think the below one was made my favourite, and..

Big circle in Darling Harbour

Another shot out of the same night photography at Darling Harbour, Sydney.

This was one of many photos I took of ferris wheels.  The front side of the wheels (the shot caught its back) lit up with colours and it was reflected on the hotel window.  I took many because I would have caught the both of the actual wheels and the reflected one, but never worked out with my skill and position where I was at, so I changed my view to go bit far which turned out as below.

A little more about Leanne’s recent project work she started this year.. she opened a membership community page in Facebook .  In the page, Leanne provides workshops about various subjects about photography (i.g. photo processing, introducing artists etc).  Leanne also runs tutorial sessions regularly to her members with about works via video communication tool.  In there, Leanne and the members exchange ideas, views, and suggestions to each of all photos the participant submit for the session.  I have took the one for myself recently and it was really helpful.  For those who are interested in the community, please check about the community from the link above, or contact her from her blog. The big circle at Darling Harbour

I put this title with ‘2’ because I referred to my earlier post last week.

Resting

This was photographed when I explored path in a park which I had seldom visited.

The main part was made open for sports people that tennis courts and field were available to play. At that time there were people with their dogs unleashed while some others were playing football.

I found some small boats including this after I passed those area and stepped into the path led to a bit of bush. I liked the quiet ambiance produced by the boats and surrounding. It was a good contrast with the ambience at the sports field.

Swans made good reflection in their stillness

I caught this in my morning walk at in the park nearby where my family lives.

This park is popular among locals and visitors, and the pond is busy with boats and swan boats floating and cruising, and I really like visiting there in off-peak time and watching the reflection made in the still water.

Active lane with after-party vibe

This was photographed Sydney city the other night.

I first passed in front of of the lane but took my steps back to peek in and took a couple of shots because of the cheerful loud voice overheard from inside it.

Leaving foggy Sydney behind

This was caught in the same morning when I took them.

I love watching and photographing fog and haze so I was lucky to get to the spot though it was just before clearing all up.

Stillness on off duty time

This was photographed at a local park in Tokyo where my family house locates nearby.

It was rather still early and the recreational boats were all rested at small bay on the pond.

The boats interested me as subject to catch because of their gathered form which was nicely aligned.  I took some photos from various angles.

By the way, the pond had Swans boats too.  They also beautifully parked in a row.  I would like to post the photo of them soon.
