Lens-Artists Weekly Photo Challenge #19: Magical Light
I went to Waikiki beach every day at sunset during my short stay at Honolulu in September. I photographed the sunset beach in many shots and this is one of them.
As we all know, every sunset is different that you will appreciate on the day, and which would be different from the one you saw yesterday. And this was one of the reasons why it kept me back at the beach every day.
This is my first contribution to Lens-Artists Weekly Photo Challenge.

Coolangatta at sunset
Here are a little more photos of sunset beach at Coolangatta. I stepped down to the beach from Pat Fagan Park after I took a few photos from, which you can see some on here .
I don’t need anything in front of the nice sunset (and sunrise too!). They just adore me and I am lost sense of times completely…always! And this evening stopped me from thinking about anything but just sticking the view in making sequel changes every second.
I hope you will enjoy the scenes too. 🙂

Coolangatta into golden hours
I flew up to my first Gold Coast trip with my friend last week. This was made her last trip in Australia before she left.
Funny that I had never tried GC in my holidays list in the past and people were surprised at that for the years long of me living in Australia.
My stereotype image of GC was just Surfers Paradise, which does not interest me to visit that much ( and very sorry for those who like there). However, the area at Coolangatta was very relaxing and we had great short holiday with full of laugh and joy. I appreciated her to choose there and gave me the opportunity to go to.
Below were taken in golden hours at Pat Fagan Park. I love these shots because of the silhouette of people at the beach and some magical lights shed in there. I will be posting a bit more photos in later posts, so I hope I can share some fun with you.

Bright afternoon in blue and gold
This was taken at The Rocks, Sydney on last weekend. Lots of buildings in Sydney city were shone by afternoon sunlight.
The contrast of colors between foreground in gold and background of blue sky was quite impressed to me. I did not have my DSLR with me but my old iPhone did a fair work like below, I think… :-).
It was warm winter afternoon and the crowd around the area was frolic with wines and foods as served by number of stalls at the site. The photo was caught when the light started dimming toward evening. It was a lucky shot, I caught. 🙂

Morning delight
I would like to post one more photo out of the morning photography I did and had posted in here sometime ago.
That morning was exactly the one I liked, with complicated yet beautiful world in gold.

Morning photography at Bondi Beach
I did not spend time for photography recently (as I mentioned in my earlier post) and it made me a bit stressed. The best way to release the stress is to take my camera and get out out of house. So I did it this week that lazy me got up very early in the morning to catch sunrise.
I chose Bondi Beach for photo spot, because (luckily) I had an appointment first in the morning at Bondi Junction, so why not to start my day earlier to capture morning shots before I showed up for the appointment. Sunrise in winter time is rather late (and that is one reason I like winter season) so it is not hard to get to the photography point, as long as I enough arm myself for wind protection.
When I arrived, the sky was quite clear but clouds laying in lower sky like sash belt, which I did not expect and a bit worried if all the morning climax was happened behind the cloud. Soon I realized that it was my over concern, that the clouds started making morning sunlight more dramatic yet turning the world in lovely pastel tone in the background.
I am in the middle of selecting photos of which I will keep out of 80 shots I took in the morning. Once I tidy them up (and I was lucky to find my favorites in them), I am back here and share about them with you.
Here are first two. It was chilly but nice morning. 🙂

Afternoon light leading to Luna Park
This was taken on the same time when I took these photos.
I was not particularly interested in this when I was scanning through all the photos I took on the day. However, I came back and took a look at the photo again just by coincidence, which happened while I was tidying up my storage space, I found it interesting at the part, where the glass panels reflecting afternoon sunlight took a role of leading line reaching for the gate of Luna Park Sydney.
Also, edge of palm tree leaves that came into the frame, looks like as if it tickles the nose of her face. And it may become why I feel a bit favor to this photo, I guess.. 🙂

A winter sunrise and morning surf
This is a throwback from last winter; July 2017 at Manly Beach, which I just dug up while tidying (or try to do..) my drawer recently.
It was a crisp morning with rough choppy waves banged onto the beach.
The golden morning stuck me on, I could not move but taking morning sunshine over the face for a while.
This photo reminds me of myself being off from sunrise / early morning photography recently. It may turn to kick me out of bed in one early morning sometime soon.. 🙂
